South African eco-warrior Grant Blakeway rowing across the Atlantic

On the 12th of December 2020, South African eco-warrior Grant Blakeway set off to row 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean to raise awareness about marine plastic pollution.

My team name – Melokuhle – means “stand for good” in isiZulu. It’s what I strive to do every day. And I hope you’ll do the same in pursuit of healthier, more resilient marine ecosystems.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for continued favour from Mother Nature in the coming days!
