Overpeck Regatta will not be held in 2019

It is with great sadness that I discovered that the Regatta I participated in this summer (with Coach Carlos Perez) and in the summer of 2016 (when I paricipated with Marianne Marical for the Newburgh Rowing Club ) will NOT be hosted in 2019. It is such a huge undertaking to put together a regatta and even one which seemed to be well sponsored can sometimes fail because of the lack of registrations. But maybe it is because there are now so many regattas that competing for TIME is difficult in an athlete’s life. I do hope that Coach Clemens Reinke will be able to bring the regatta back in 2020.
