At the Joy of Sculling Coaches Conference

At the conference last Friday night I sat at the dinner table with this athletic looking lady who was very energetic and chatty. She was very hyped up about a little rowing club she had just started in Cooperstown, New York with her own money. I JUST NOW looked up her name on google and facebook and found out that she is a two time Olympic rower (she competed on the Olympic Rowing teams in 1992 and 1996). Her name is Andrea Thies and check out this article about her. Yeah, she likes using boats like mine.
