I had a chance to go out with Josh Shaffran this afternoon. A Kingston High School Varsity Crew graduate, now at Georgia Tech where he is apparently collecting all the rowing medals he can get his hands on! Because he is 19 he cannot take a shell out by himself. So he has to use the buddy system with another adult rower (21 and older) who is a member of the rowing club. If you want to be a member, like me and Carlos Perez, of his support team (after all we all want to have a Kingston alum go to the Olympics, don’t we?) please let me know. Generally he tries to practice in the afternoons.
