COASTAL ROWING IS HIP!

In South Jersey they are hopeful coastal rowing could debut in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Coastal rowing bridges the gap between open-water (more “traditional-like”) and flat-water rowing, such as what high school and college teams do.

Lovely rowing weather…..temps still not aligned.

Image

Not aligned because I do not go out until it is safe for me to go out alone, without a safety launch following (which I do not have).  I need the air temperature plus the water temperature to add up to a number higher than 100 before the conditions are right for me to row.  Usually that is the first week of April, but this year it seems to want to come later!

NOTE:  By afternoon the temperature IS aligned.  But that is not when I usually row.
